We went to see Woody Allen's newest movie, "Midnight in Paris," and I just loved it. It's like if I wrote a movie! Owen Wilson stars as Gil, an American screenwriter struggling to write a novel, who is visiting Paris with his fiance, Inez, played by Rachel McAdams. Inez is a stereotypical spoiled American who can't understand Gil's infatuation with bygone eras.
In the movie, Inez sports many casual shirtdresses, cinched with belts (a bit too loosely for my taste) and fabulous Chanel classics dressed way down.
An American in Paris
By magic, Gil is able to live out his fantasies and is transported back to 20's era Paris. Hilarity, as you can imagine, ensues.
He has run-ins with all the famous artists and writers of the day, including Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald. It's dazzling and fabulous, and just fanned the flames of my own obsession with those bygone days.

i loved her shirtdresses! they seemed so perfect for tourist-ing around and then to a nice dinner. i also am going to assume she bought all those chanel and dior bags in paris to go along with my parisian plans.
