I started this blog in 2009 right after quitting my job and moving from the Shenandoah Valley to Hampton Roads, Virginia to live with my then-boyfriend. At the time, I had never cooked a chicken breast, never baked a cake and didn't know you can't pour grease down the drain.
Since then, my boyfriend became my husband, I've baked brioche and sometimes I still forget and accidentally pour the grease down the drain. My blog has evolved into a place to share anything that inspires me, plus a peek into my adventures in cooking, decorating, artistic pursuits and everything in between.
