The no-makeup makeup routine, as we know, isn't easy to pull off. The most important key is a pretty porcelain complexion, maintained with sunscreen and moisturizer.
I was happy to read a bit about how the actresses get made-up in this interview with make-up artist Anne Oldham in Vogue.
She said the key is: natural, but lightly groomed eyebrows; no eye shadow on the lids; luminous foundation; and rosy cheeks and lips.
Get the Look
Oldham recommended a few of these items, and I added a couple I would use in the day-to-day wearing of this look. Left to right, clockwise: Stila "Crush" lip stain and cheek stain; Laura Mercier hydratint in rose; Stila convertible color in Petunia; Tarte cheek stain in Flush; Trish McEvoy eye brightener in Shell; DiorShow brown mascara; Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation; and Smashbox Photo Finish primer.
