I love the ideas about New Testament and Old Testament God, though.Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04191381685768246005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3122421089458943277.post-25809447274546982932010-03-24T21:16:31.126-04:002010-03-24T21:16:31.126-04:00Ok first of all - LOVE THIS EPISODE!! How often have we been led down a road only to have the rug pulled out from under us? I'm a little more inclined to believe that neither is inherently good or evil. I mean, Jacob brings people to the island to prove a point to MIB - that people are capable of choosing good over evil. Jacob is RUINING PEOPLE'S LIVES TO MAKE A POINT!

But okay, assuming Jacob is God or Inherently Good or whatever. 1800s Jacob is like Old Testament God and 2007ish Jacob is like New Testament God. OTG Jacob beats the crap out of Ricardo and dunks him in water to prove a point. Angry Jacob is ANGRY! NTG Jacob practically sacrifices himself by allowing Ben to stab him.

Oh, and pretty grossed out about Ricardo chowing down on bacon five minutes after the critter was eating his shipmates. Ew.

On the other hand, MIB provides bacon. Inherently Good, no?

Can't wait until next week...Dianenoreply@blogger.com
